Seasons Best: Bonanza, Nicaragua

As the name suggests, Seasons Best is designed to evolve throughout the year alongside the coffees arriving fresh into the roastery. It’s an opportunity for us to showcase standout seasonal lots in their purest form whilst highlighting how harvest cycles naturally shape coffee flavour.

For this latest release, Seasons Best features Bonanza, a washed lot sourced through Sabio Coffee in Matagalpa, Nicaragua.

Selected as a temporary transition whilst we await fresh crop Finca El Paraíso from El Salvador, Bonanza immediately stood out to us for its creamy body, rounded sweetness and comforting chocolate-driven profile. In the cup expect notes of caramel, praline and burnt sugar layered with soft citrus-like acidity and a syrupy, balanced finish.

Whilst this coffee now features within our Profiler blend, Seasons Best offers the opportunity to experience the Nicaragua component on its own, highlighting the nuance, sweetness and structure that made it such a natural fit for the blend in the first place.

Comforting with milk and beautifully balanced as espresso or black coffee, Bonanza is a wonderful example of the approachable yet character-filled coffees we love showcasing through Seasons Best.
