The Profiler Blend – Fresh Crop Update (July)

We’re excited to welcome back our El Salvador component to The Profiler with the arrival of fresh crop Finca El Paraíso, a standout washed Bourbon lot sourced through the Aida Batlle Selection Program.

This coffee is produced by Claudia Mathies, a fourth-generation grower whose family has owned El Paraíso since the 1800s. With support from Aida Batlle, Claudia has brought this Café Practices–certified farm into the spotlight, not only for the quality of its coffee but also for its commitment to community — including regular on-site medical visits and seasonal celebrations for local families.

In the cup, El Paraíso brings rich chocolate and toffee, balanced with sweet date and a delicate orange-like acidity — the perfect complement to the creamy, chocolate-driven base of Fazenda Pântano.

Sourced through Cafebras, this latest release returns The Profiler to its classic form — smooth, sweet, and built for milk, with the complexity to shine on its own.

Why A Small Price Adjustment?

In line with the global coffee market volatility highlighted in our broader update, there will be a modest price adjustment to The Profiler Blend. Over the past year, green coffee prices have risen sharply due to severe supply shortages, cost pressures at farm level, and continued strong global demand. (Benchmark arabica prices were up 70% last year and remain volatile in 2025 — source).

To maintain the quality and sourcing standards that The Profiler is known for, we must ensure we continue investing fairly at origin — rewarding farmers for their work and securing consistent access to top-quality, fresh-crop coffees.

This price change reflects:

  • Higher global green coffee costs and transportation expenses.
  • Our commitment to sourcing traceable, sustainable coffees even in a volatile market.
  • Our promise to preserve the rich, creamy, sweet cup profile that has made The Profiler a customer favourite.
  • We believe that ensuring the continuity of quality and ethical sourcing is worth it — and that you, our loyal customers, will taste the difference in every cup.

Thank you for your continued support and trust as we navigate this dynamic season together.
